LAMINATE FLOORING

NOT ALL LAMINATE FLOORING IS CREATED EQUAL
Most consumers shop by colour and price, which is not the best strategy for long term value. Visit a Laminate Warehouse showroom near you and talk with one of our sales professionals about the best choice to meet your style and budget.

TYPES OF LAMINATE

VARIETY OF LAMINATE FLOORING
Naturally there is a myriad of different decors and colours to choose from when selecting your perfect laminate floor. There are also different widths, lengths, thicknesses and textures to add to the limitless choices available to consumers. The process of making laminate flooring is similar from one manufacturer to another but the overall quality can vary greatly. It is important to learn about the quality of the product you are buying - before you buy!
UNDERSTANDING THE LAMINATE LINGO
When shopping for laminate flooring you will repeatedly hear the term HDF Core (High Density Fiberboard Core) which refers to the density of the core board that makes up the mass of the product. Although most laminate floors are manufactured using a HDF core there are widely varying degrees of the actual density of the HDF. This is not to be mistaken with the overall thickness of the core as thicker does not equal denser and often the opposite is true. The denser the core - the more stable the floor! Another common term you will hear in the marketplace is the AC wear layer which refers to the top wear layer of the laminate and offers resistance to wearing, fading and staining. An AC5 laminate may offer more resistance to abrasion than an AC2 laminate, but they are by no means scratch proof - nothing is. With proper care and maintenance all laminate floors can provide years of use with out visible signs of wear and tear. Another key component of the laminate flooring you choose is the locking system itself and they all differ in many ways including ease and speed of installation and overall strength and holding power.

We are your laminate experts and can help direct you towards the best choice to meet your needs and budget!
